Week 6

Hello parents and guardians,

This week students in grades 2 to 5 continued learning about effective team work and communication. To help frame our conversations we used the following prompts:
1. En premier... (at first)
     2. Mais... (but)
         3. Maintenant... (now)
This should help students to identify and articulate what they were doing at first, what the problem was and what they are now doing in response.
In kindergarten and grade 1 students continued developing their skipping skills by playing a variety of games that work on the fundamental skills necessary to jump rope properly.
We also continued our exercise development by adding pushups this week. Students are learning to keep their back straight, chin above their fingers and elbows tucked into their bodies. This is an exercise that is difficult for students to do and so we will work hard together to build our strength and endurance.

Here is a summary of some of the skills and activities we did:

K-1
- reviewed creative playground rules and ways to play
- Plank
- Hot dog tag
- Skipping rope

2-3
- reviewed creative playground rules and ways to play
- Rubic's cube
- Pushups or plank

4-5
- reviewed creative playground rules and ways to play
- Rubic's cube
- Pushups
