Week 8
Hello Varsity families!
This week students in grades 2 through 5 worked through a challenging team building task, the Tower of Varsity. We reviewed team working strategies as well as what roles and responsibilities team members can take when working in groups.
Try asking your child how they contributed to the success of the team.
Students in grade 1 got to try some different skipping equipment and worked on their jumping skills. Kindergarten students participated in some physical literacy stations where they got to balance, jump, skip, catch a ball, kick a soccer ball from running and throw some bean bags.
LACES - are your kids laces forever coming undone? Consider teaching them the not so world famous Cassidy Soccer Knot. Here is a video tutorial on how to do it:
