Week 10 & 11

The last two weeks have been a lot of fun in PE! Thank you to all students and families that have made candy donations to the www.icanforkids.ca collection. We have two massive boxes filled and ready to be sent off.

For the month of November we are working on throwing and catching, communication when working in teams and proper form when performing strengthening exercises.

Students should be able to speak to the following learning outcomes:

- How to do a proper plank, lunge, squat, pointer dog and push up (grades 3 and up).
- How to throw underhand and overhand (grades 2 and up) as well as how to roll the ball.
- Athletic stance (ankles, hips and knees bent with arms out front and feet shoulder width apart.
- The difference between a 1, 2, 3, and 4 in PE.

Here are some games we've been playing to help support our learning:
- Skittle Queen
- Spike Ball
- Ball Tag

Conferences are coming up this Thursday. I will be in the gym and am able to meet and discuss your child's progress in PE. If you would like to have a more private conversation please do not hesitate to contact me so that we can set something up.
